Mr. Blake is a native of Natchitoches, Louisiana. In 2003. He graduated Cum Laude from Northwestern State University in August 2003 with a B.A degree in Sociology (Applied Concentration). He received his J.D. degree from Southern University Law Center in May 2006. In April of 2007, he began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney employed by the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s Office. He gained a reputation for his hard work, efficiency, and litigation skills. In 2010 he was then promoted to a Felony Section Chief, where he successfully and efficiently prosecuted felony cases. He was recognized in 2011 by the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney for outstanding prosecution and received a Golden Star award. He was recognized with an award in 2012 from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana-Project Safe Neighborhood Program for the outstanding prosecution of guns and weapons offenses. In 2013, he joined the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office where he continued prosecuting violent offenders successfully and efficiently. Mr. Blake is a seasoned Trial Attorney and brings a wealth of trial experience to the firm. Mr. Blake is a member of the Louisiana Bar Association, the Baton Rouge Bar Association, and the Louis A. Martinet Legal Society. He is also an Assistant Bar Examiner of the Louisiana Supreme Court Committee on Bar Admissions. As of February 13, 2017, he is a member of the Firm’s Baton Rouge office where his practice includes civil litigation defense, employment law and insurance defense.
